Don’t take the management personally. It’s not you, it’s them. They don’t want something unforseen to be thrown in their direction. They just want to be safe. In that, they will always oppose, oppose and oppose some more, even if it is for the sake of opposing.
Just answer their questions. Build on facts and stick with it. Give them all the information they need to ease their insecurity. Ease them on the push back. New ideas are threatening to their inner sanctuary of peace. It may come off as a threat to the power they hold.
Find another way to frame the new idea. Angle it. Package it. Make it beneficial to them as it is to you. Sell them the idea by giving them a seat in the ride of ‘it’s for you mostly.’
If they persist still, at the end of the day, just ignore them. They know nothing. I cannot please everyone. As long as I know what I am doing is right and is in accordance to my values and mission, I am good. I am on the right track.
